I can't decide whether I think this is funny or not. On one hand, the fact that someone is wearing a jersey of another rival team of the home team at a game not featuring said team, is completely idiotic. There's no chance in hell that ever makes sense, or is ever funny. People who wear Kings jerseys to Flyers games and Chargers jerseys to Eagles games are just stupid. There was a Flyers-Panthers game not too long ago that had Penguins fans seemingly sparsed throughout the crowd. That's ridiculous. And I hate it.
But, it was refreshing to see another team just root for something other than their team winning, as the Phillies and Cole Hamels handled the Reds with relative ease Friday night. Reds fans, and apparently Cubs fans, were rooting for a free pizza - which happens when Reds pitchers strike out 11 or more batters in a game. I find that humorous. Probably because the Reds didn't really have a chance to win the game. Here's video of the Cubs geek freaking out below.
